“Half-Baked”

A “half-baked” plan or idea is

one that has little to no planning, not thought out well, and is rather impractical and stupid altogether. If a criminal were to rob a bank with a half-baked plan, they may run into the bank and demand money. However, they would forget to wear a mask, and would write the demand note on the back of their business card. This idiom comes from the 1600’s when food was not cooked or baked completely, resulting in a sloppy mess.
