きのう、しごとなかまと1ねん-ぶりにあいました。I met some of my work colleagues yesterday

for the first time in a year. 🍺

I have taken a short break from posting, but I am back with another photo set.

This is from my hiking trip a week ago. The destination was a state park close to me, but one that I have never visited before. 

Of course, I was unable to get myself ready as early as I wanted, so by the time I got to the park, I was lucky to find a parking spot. It already felt hot with the sun blasting down at 9:45 when I started on the trail. Luckily, the clouds rolled in around mid-day and it instantly felt better.  There were even some rain drops that fell and the clouds looked a bit threatening, but they dispersed again.

I enjoyed the wildflowers and the views. The park is partly an old ranch, so there are some open spots, but a lot of it is wilderness with many rock outcroppings. I decided to take a trail that would lead me to a waterfall. Along the way I rested by a small lake and put my feet in the water. It felt great!

The waterfall itself was stunning. It's one of the prettiest waterfalls in Colorado, I would say. The spray felt so good while standing below it! That's where I decided to eat lunch before taking on the return trip.

I will tell you about the second half of the day in the next post, I had some surprising sightings that I can't wait to share.
