What is your opinion on foreigners wearing a different countries

traditional clothing? Do you think it is acceptable?
These are two costumes I recently bought, the dark blue one is for my next cosplay. But both have a Chinese style to them.

    I think wearing customary clothing is a respectful gesture. Wearing a common fashion style, such as a Chinese qipao dress or Vietnamese ao dai garment or polynesian bikini swimsuit or an western suit and tie or a cowboy hat is simply being fashionable or trendy. However, when dealing with regalia, it is best to ask permission or give explanation to why you would don something normally worn only by a native in celebration or reverence. Otherwise, you may be seen as irreverent and mocking.
