The beautiful Tenryuji (天龍寺) Temple. This temple has world heritage

status. Built in 1339 by the ruling shogun Takauji Ashikaga in dedication to the former emperor Go Daigo who recently passed away.

This temple is truly stunning, it was raining that day, prior to visiting this temple, I visited Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, I wanted to make the most of my day so I headed here. I spent many minutes meditating here, and watching the rain drops dance upon the small garden lake, it was truly incredible to be there, the clouds rolled across the horizon and settled within the mountains above. It was practically slient however the people who observed the beauty with me sat quietly, as I did, admiring in awe. It was a joint experience amongst all visitors, one I'll never forget...
