@不会功夫的熊猫 Your grammar is very good! With the long yellow squash I will make ratatouille. With the round ones, when I was a child my mother would sautée them with garlic, onions and shrimp. I’m allergic to shellfish, so I will make it without - they are delicious this way. However, I do like butternut squash soup (not very fond of pumpkin 😅).

@不会功夫的熊猫 The little round yellow ones with bumpy edges are called ‘pattypan’ squash and are my favorite type of squash - only available in the summer. The long yellow ones are summer squash.
