Hello friends 😁🖐 Today I want to teach you about "homophones

" these are when words have the same sound but different meanings. Today is part 5.

"Pair" and "Pear" (sounds the same) however...

1. Pair - I have two "Pairs" of shoes.
2. Pair - They would make a great "Pair".
3. Pair - They were playing cards, he had a "Pair" of Jack's.

1. Pear - He was eating an apple and a "Pear".
2. Pear - She went to the food shop to buy a "Pear".
3. Pear - The "Pear" is in the fruit bowl.



That's great, let's move on...

"Right" and "Write" (sounds the same) however...

1. Right - Drive straight down the road and turn "Right".
2. Right - You was "Right" all along.
3. Right - That's "Right" I am learning english.

1. Write - Here is a pen, can you please "Write" your name?
2. Write - She "Writes" the most beautiful words.
3. Write - Can you "Write" in english?



That's great, let's move on...

"Sight" and "Site" (all sound the same) however...

1. Sight - He was caught in plain "Sight".
2. Sight - A blind person has no "Sight".
3. Sight - I cannot stand the "Sight" of blood.

1. Site - I work on a building "Site".
2. Site - I was on the Internet when I found this "Site".
3. Site - When I go on holiday I will do some "Site seeing.

    @Julio Great questions Julio... 1. You were "Right all along - was and were are past tense so both are acceptable 👍 2. A blind person doesn't have "Sight" - doesn't is used for He/She and It (not a person for "it") For example... 1. He doesn't have time to wait. 2. She doesn't go out with him anymore. 3. It doesn't say go right, it says go left. Hope this helps 👍👍👍
