(;) indicating a pause, typically between two main clauses, that is more pronounced than that indicated by a comma. It indicates that a story could've ended but chose to be continued.

Do not put a period ( . ) on your life, where a semicolon ( ; ) should be. Please always choose to stay. I would much rather listen to every single story, heartache, hurt, laugh, tear or anger then to sit at your funeral and mourn not being able to hear all of those things.
