    yow, side note: the particle is "ha", 「は」, it is just pronounced wa. for the ha and ga particle, let's have two sentences これはいぬです。 and これがいぬです。 for the first sentence it translates most closely to this is A DOG. (context would be like if you were explaining to someone that that this is a dog, and they didn't know it was a dog before) for the second sentence, it would be THIS is a dog. (context would be like you were talking about dogs beforehand and they didn't know what dogs looked like so you pointed to him/her that THIS is a dog)

    for ha particle think of it as a topic particle, like you are bringing up a topic for the ga particle, think of it as identifier particle, like you are saying that that is the thing that you are doing or describing
