Last night I made curry rice.
昨夜カレーライスを作りました。

I wanted to make it healthier by not frying the chicken.
私は鶏肉を揚げないことで健康にしたかった。

I also learnt there is no natural Japanese word for oven baked food.
また、オーブンで焼いた食べ物を意味する自然な日本語がないことも知りました。

I'm hungry again and already thinking about tonight's dinner.
私は再びおなかがすいて、すでに今夜の夕食を考えています。

    > I also learnt there is no natural Japanese word for oven baked food. Probably, it is commonly called 焼きxxx, that means baked xxx, ovened xxx For instance, 焼きうどん、焼きカレー? めちゃくちゃ美味しそうで僕もお腹空いてきた😄

@RikitoTaniguchi Thanks! I asked yesterday as well. But grilling and baking are very different.

@Mish • ミッシュ • 미시 Wash-free rice is sold in London? I usually choice a wash-free rice Because Wash-free rice does not wash out B1 and niacin, which are water-soluble vitamins, and contains twice as much as normal polished rice. If you have a chance to get it, try using it.

@Mish • ミッシュ • 미시 Ah, yeah, we sometimes say "グリルドxxx" means gtilled xxx, but we don't have words for nuanced version of "焼き", I think. Interesting!

@Sato We have washed free rice in London. But this Japanese rice that I used is not wash free. It's Nishiki rice.

It's because they don't have a big oven in Japan like you have in the UK, it's just not so common. I love the big oven which I can just leave the pan with food in there! Lol So easy!

@Kyoko きょうこ Yes! The chicken was cut into smaller pieces so I could cook it quicker... I usually would make one big piece too, but I didn't on this day.

@Mish • ミッシュ • 미시 Ah, I see! That’s why it’s seen more differently from Japanese カツ! I think to cut chicken into smaller pieces is a very good idea😋 easy to share and looks delicious too! I’ll try it next time😄👍
