    @Andy ขอ And เอา alittle to difference ขอ feeling like you say "I would like the... " But เอา like you say " Can I get the... " I think if you order food in thai ขอ polite more than เอา

    In English I would say “I would like the OOO” or “Can I get the OOO”.

    In Thai you would say ฉันขอสั่งผัดไทย 1 จาน” = " chan-khor-sang-pad-thai-1-jan "

    @Andy Yess. "ผมจะเอาอันนี้ครับ" *an née [อันนี้] = this one.

    @Andy Name of food + How many you want + container of it + Krup ( it's a polite word for male) Example Pad Thai Nueng Jaan Krup = I would like a dish of Pad Thai

  • Andy

    @yoobrr Thank you for the explanation! ขอบคุณครับ. What is the difference between ขอ and เอา?
  • Andy

    @minny Yes! It’s from Thipsamai! Have you eaten there before?
  • Andy

    @Mint Thank you! ขอบคุณครับ. Can you write that in Thai for me? 🙏
  • Andy

    @Chonlawan Rueang Interesting! You say the number after the name of the food. Like Pad Thai one, instead of one Pad Thai in English. Thank you! ขอบคุณครับ
  • Andy

    @Chonlawan Rueang Haha that is what I have been doing! Thought I should learn how to order verbally as well.

    You can say the name of food (or point on the menu) and tell Waiter how much you want.
