A close to a chapter in my book of life.
Today I got to wear

my wings and my unit patch. I am nervous and excited to learn and perform to the best standards.
We all came to Airborne willing and as volunteers. Not all made it.
Yet it was an experience of a life time and will keep improving my experience.

All of my jumps were done on a C-130J Hercules. ( Not the ones in background, also picture number 5 is is the only one not mine.)

Now all I have to do is wait. Wait. And wait.
Hopefully I will be departing soon and continuing my story.
Many left and continued their lives and a few stayed. I miss my comrades and battle buddies.

Recovery and distractions or what I must focus on. And yet. I have been left with enough time to think about my family and realize how much I miss their company.

Remember to always keep close to those who are there for you.

Family truly is the most important people in life. I treasure them always.

@Katherine that is very good. If one has a good family then life becomes so much easier to bear with.

It's gonna take ya years when ya'll be E-5, cause getting called "sarge" sounds cooler and gives ya the power to pull ranks lol.

@Kâkâshî maybe only two years at most. I have already started to compete in military boards. And gather awards and promotion points. My goal is to be a sergeant by 2023. I will work hard.

@Enrico good luck with that, it seems a lil bit hard task to get E-5 by 2023 cause I know a guy and he got it before he was deployed to South Korea cause he was in 2nd ID and that was his probably 5th or 6th year in the army.. but yeah working hard always gives ya a fruitful result in the end. "Rangers lead the way" hooah!

@Kâkâshî haha i can’t do rangers yet. I wish I could. I have to wait for my citizenship papers to go through. But I am happy going to my unit now. Depends on MOS and how many promotion points are needed for primary zone. Yes some people take around 5 years.

@Enrico omg, so are ya planning on becoming a Ranger? Woah! That'd be so cool, hope ya'll be done with your citizenship papers soon man and get yourself enrolled in the Rangers school... I think the US Army Ranger is the best and most tough SOF in the branch cause even seals need someone to resume them, remember it was rangers as the QRF that saved Marcus Luttrell.

@Kâkâshî well no Rangers is not the hardest SOF group in my opinion. (RASP is 8 weeks, but all their training is around 50 weeks) I just finished training with them yesterday through airborne school. The hardest is Green Beret. (Around 100 weeks training) But I mean RASP and Rangers are very tough.

@Enrico but Green Berets? aren't they considered as SF? Obviously the SF gotta be the best/strongest among all the units in the military but when it comes down to the SOF thing I guess we've some pretty strong ones from delta to rangers (I'm in love with rangers lol)... wow lucky ya, ya got to train along with them. Ya are definitely a determined solider, thank for your service almost E-3, it's an honor.

@Kâkâshî yes you are right. As for SOF I thing rangers lead the way. I honestly misread your message. Well good night. And thank you.
