Party night yesterday

Why do some always say, “Write a happy poem”? As if joy is the only truth. But I write what I feel, and that makes me more at peace. To hide my sorrow would be a lie. If they misunderstand me, It is not their fault. People see only what they wish to see. But I am me. I have not changed. I only place my heart on paper, as it beats, as it bleeds. A Love Without Return...... We judged our good intentions, one by one, And still we found no fault. Because we loved with the heart, not with demands, not with fear. Even when they did not love us back, We did not break, We did not turn bitter. For love was never a bargain, never a weight to return. It was a gift, and a gift does not ask for itself again. We loved this love without return, We loved it for itself, pure and unspoken. So we carried it, quiet, steady, unshaken. Because to love from the heart is to expect nothing, and still to give everything. And here I am....
