Balhae kingdom was created by tungusic and puyeo people in the far east as one of the successors of the Koguryo Empire. After the Koguryo empire was fallen during the Sino-Türkic union invasion, tungusic people in the north of Koguryo have retaken the region in the north and central part of the state and during the rule of the king Dai Muye his army defeated the Tang(Chinese) army in south manchurian region and expanded the territory to that in the map. The Balhae state have got a great cultural influence and achievement. By the opinion of the archeologists in russia they have found out some important documents which shows that people in this state borrowed the Göktürk characters to write their languages, it could be the first writing system for the tungusic language. It also played as an important role for the economic and cultural conversation among Korea, Japan, China and Türkic world. Here's one of them which is considered as the first writing system of the south-tungusic language. This kind of script is called cuşın bithı (the Jurchen handwriting), it's first invented by Vanggiya Uşı, the chief shaman of the Ançun empire in the 12th century. Even it looks a little bit similar with Chinese but it's actually totally different and Chinese people could hardly read even a word by it.
