So... shall we talk about something interesting? 😏
Yes! Let's talk about the word "shall" in English! 🎩🌂

✨ What does “shall” mean?

Shall is a formal or polite modal verb used to:

1. Make suggestions
2. Offer help
3. Make polite invitations

You’ll hear it in British English more than American English, but it’s still good to know!
🇬🇧😉

Examples‼️

📌 Suggestions:

🔹️Shall we go for a walk?
🔹️It’s cold. Shall we stay inside?

📌 Offers:

🔹️Shall I carry your bag?
🔹️You look tired. Shall I get you some tea?

📌 Invitations:

🔹️Shall we meet at 6 p.m.?
🔹️It's Friday. Shall we watch a movie?

⚠️ Quick tips:

🔸️“Shall” is mostly used with I or we.

🔸️It’s more common in British English than in American.

🔸️It sounds polite, formal, or romantic. 🥰

Word of the day: refined ✅️
Meaning: elegant, cultured, or well-mannered
📌 "His way of speaking is very refined—he always says 'shall' instead of 'should'."

🗣️Your turn! Write one sentence using “Shall we…” or “Shall I…”. Let’s practice together in the comments! 💬👇

Shall we? 😄

## 2. 8/21/2025

You speak of truth to someone whose voice has slowly drowned in the corrosive shadow of indifference, and you long to see tears in eyes weary from beholding the falsehood of those who claim to love.

My dear dreaming flower: you're speaking to an empty heart, calling to die on the battlefield someone who has nothing at all left to defend.

Indeed, it is hard to believe in anything when our faith in this world has been utterly lost.
But tell me—what would our lives be without a spark of such light?
If only those on the brink of surrender knew how much it costs to recover hope!

Please don't give in… keep walking forward, and never let this cold world extinguish the fire that burns within you. 🌺

## 3. 8/18/2025

🌙 I've got a new English post for you guys because it's 2:00 a.m. here and I can't sleep. 🤭

Let’s talk about three important words that are often used in social and cultural discussions:

💡 Prejudices – Bias – Discrimination 👈🏾

What do they really mean in English? Let’s break it down:

1️⃣ Prejudices

🧠 Definition: Prejudices are preconceived opinions that are not based on reason or actual experience.
They are often negative and deeply rooted in stereotypes.

📌 Example:

He didn’t want to hire her because of his prejudices against women in leadership. 🧕🏼🙋🏾‍♀️
(This means he already had a negative opinion without real reason.)

2️⃣ Bias

🧠 Definition: A bias is a tendency to favor one thing, person, or group over another, often unfairly.
It can be conscious or unconscious.

📌 Example:

The teacher had a bias toward her favorite student and gave her better grades. 🖤🤍
(This isn’t necessarily hate, but still unfair.)

3️⃣ Discrimination

🧠 Definition: Discrimination means acting on prejudice or bias — treating someone unfairly because of their identity (race, gender, religion, etc). 🚫

📌 Example:

They faced discrimination when they were denied service because of their nationality.

🧠 Quick Recap:

🔸️Prejudice = Negative opinion
🔸️Bias = Preference or tendency
🔸️Discrimination = Action based on those opinions

🗣 Let’s practice!

Write one sentence using any of these words in the comments. Let’s learn from each other! 👇

I can tolerate not having a German lesson for one day, but it’s not the same when it comes to Farsi… 😌

I’m learning romantic expressions, guys! 🤭

Thank goodness languages don’t break hearts… or do they? 🥺

I hope Valeria doesn’t get jealous and understands my love for Farsi… 🤣👌🏾

When life overwhelms me, I like to look at the sky. 🌠
The peace with which the clouds drift, the stillness of the mountains, and the gentle greeting of a rising sun… Up there, my pain doesn’t exist.
Is all of this really so bad?
How many hardships have we already overcome that are now nothing more than life lessons?
This too shall pass. Have faith. 🕊

In the end, we're all fighting to find meaning in our lives. ❤️‍🔥
Wishing you all a beautiful rest of the week! 🙏🏾

🚫 “Won’t” That Isn’t Future Tense?!

Did you know won’t can also describe the PRESENT? 😲

📱 “I got my phone from you guys, but now it won’t work.”

Even though won’t is a contraction of will not, in this case it doesn’t mean future at all. Instead, it expresses frustration about something that refuses to work right now.

🔍 What does it mean?
Using won’t in this way implies:

🔹️A device or object refuses to cooperate.
🔹️There’s a tone of annoyance or emotion.
🔹️It’s happening right now, not later.

🧠 Real-life examples:

🔸️The printer won’t turn on.
🔸️My laptop won’t respond.
🔸️The door won’t open.
🔸️My pen won’t write.

It’s like the object is saying... 💁🏾‍♂️

“Nope! Not today!” 😤

🆚 More neutral alternatives:

✅ It doesn’t work. → Neutral

✅ It isn’t working. → Present continuous

✅ It has stopped working. → Recent change

But if you want to sound natural and casual,
👉 “It won’t work” is what most native speakers say!

🎯 Challenge:

Think of something in your life that just won’t work! 🤯

It's always good to make time for yourself! Tonight, I had the chance to listen to Mozart's Requiem at one of the Candlelight concerts held in my city. 🎻😍
I must admit, friends… my heart wept, for it has always wept before what is truly beautiful. ❤️‍🔥
I reflected, remembered, and meditated on times long past… 🍁
Without a doubt, an experience worth repeating. 🥺

## 8. 8/6/2025

Do you really believe I'm learning this or that language just so my ideas can be understood?

Then let me tell you something — you're caught up in the words,
but missing their meaning.

What truly matters is what we long to bring forth from within —
and that lies far beyond form and sound.

What we seek to express cannot be understood,
because it cannot be seen with the eyes,
nor touched with the hands...
not even heard with the ears.

My friend...
what we’re trying to convey simply does not belong to this world... 🌱

I’ve been learning German on Duolingo for 100 days and counting… 🤭
It’s been an interesting journey, and I think I’m getting more and more accustomed to the language each day.
Every language is a new adventure — so whether it’s a means to achieve a greater goal or simply because you love it…I can't help but wish you the best cute people! 🤗❤️‍🔥

## 10. 8/4/2025

Learning Farsi has been one of the most beautiful experiences I've had so far. 😊
However, I must confess that the cognitive dissonance I've experienced has led me to pause my lessons many times. 😂🥲

This language represents something completely new for me: the alphabet, writing from right to left... everything is different! 😍🙈

The good news? I understand that this is normal with any language, and it's just a matter of accepting Farsi into my heart, loving it, and getting to know it more and more each day with an open mind.

حرف به حرف 🤞🏽
