I got to experience a truly once in a lifetime moment where I was amid a sea of hot air balloons floating over pyramids that were built at the start of the millennia as the sun rose. Her litter had leukopenia which has a 90% fatality rate for kittens but they were resilient all survived! She is extremely friendly and curious and is a people pleaser and cat follower. We visited Tokyo, Kyoto, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Hiroshima, and Tokyo again. It was a 19 day trip and left us exhausted. However, it gave us many cherished memories we’ll keep forever. My new favorite city in Japan is Hiroshima. Its beauty as a city reminded me of the best parts of my travels around the world and the people were very genuine. I wore cross trainers and felt every single rock 😵‍💫. I'd opt to wear trail runners next time to get the perfect mix of durability, comfort, and weight. You won't be traversing anything wet unless it’s raining. This has the most amenities of the 2 backpacking trips I've done so far (Enchanted Valley and Havasupi). There's multiple showers at the campsites, protected food storage in the form of bear cabinets at each site, various spigots along the route so you don't need a water filter, and even gear/provisions delivery service if you schedule it ahead time. However, don’t let the luxuries fool you though as the length of the trip will wear on you no matter how comfortable you just were. Treat every ounce as an additional half pound as the elevation can be punishing and make sure your hiking shoes are broken in. The weather was surprisingly moderate and the skies were very clear.
