At that time, I used to exchange letters with a girl from Peru and a boy from France. We became good friends and even sent each other things from our countries, like CDs and snacks. Nowadays, we can do everything online and access information about other countries so easily. While that’s incredibly convenient, sometimes I feel like the excitement of connecting with people has faded a bit. Of course, it’s amazing that I can now meet so many people like this and learn new languages — it really makes the world feel closer and more connected.
